Cheating or not cheating?

Cheating or not cheating?

What do you think of college students' cheating in exams?

when I was a freshman, I was very opposed to it. I thought I could take as many of these things as I could, and I just had to stand up to myself.

in my junior year, I don't think it's right or wrong to cheat. Some teachers are casual in class. I haven't used an English textbook a few times, but the final exam is open and I can't even understand the catalogue. how to take the exam?

I think that compared with cheating, what is more terrible is that cheating is justified.

when I saw my classmate saying in moments that she cheated in every subject and then got an average score of 80% to get a scholarship, I really felt sorry for my efforts over the past few weeks.

in fact, people have a mentality of self-deception.

when I cheat myself, I think that cheating is not a big deal, but that it is too bad to report cheaters.

but when I don't cheat but see others cheating, I feel very unfair and opposed to cheating.

We, who have been taught shameful cheating since childhood, are somewhat disgusted when we talk about cheating. But when our desire for scores is higher than so-called moral integrity, cheating seems to be taken for granted. I don't guarantee everyone, but I believe that most people have cheated, and it's not limited to college. But everyone has to pay for their own mistakes, maybe it's not your subjective fault.

is cheating because you didn't study hard and review well? Or do you want to pursue higher scores? Or do you just want to pass quietly? You can have a hundred excuses to cheat, but these excuses are just a cover for your mistakes.

of course, I, who was determined not to cheat, failed two courses last semester. Maybe I can cheat, but it's not real. It's like taking something that doesn't belong to me.

whether you approve of cheating or not is divided into two situations:

the first case, you have no interest in this major, these courses, these exams, but do not fail, so there is nothing wrong with cheating.

the second case, you boast that you like this major and this course very much, and if you usually have some research in this area, you will be too sorry for your enthusiasm in this area if you still want to cheat. Of course, if you are a self-disciplined person, not cheating is the right choice, whether it is the cultivation of your personality and the study of professional knowledge.

the public elective teacher said: cheating is not immoral because you do not interfere with other people's right to get high marks.

cheating in universities involves fairness and interests. You can't deny everything about a person just because you cheat at once. However, the college examination that we still want to advocate is based on the consideration of knowledge and the investigation of comprehensive quality on the basis of fairness.

not cheating is a choice I was born to make.

does not object but does not advocate.

reviewing carefully, not cheating may be meaningless in universities under China's education system. The knowledge of college is not that you can really learn anything after reviewing carefully at the end of the term, because you will forget after the exam. In university, the real harvest should come from practice rather than textbooks.

as for grades, they should not be determined by examinations, but should pay attention to the cultivation of skills and the flexible use of knowledge. These practical problems cannot be judged by a single paper, so it will hurt people who really know how to learn. It is more reasonable to fail the final exam with the usual performance instead of the final exam.

(editor: but the cost of this method is too high)

as a foreign language student, I think it is really a waste of time not to cheat in grammar. From the perspective of the mid-term exam, the teacher just tells you what you want to take the exam in advance, and then you memorize it all down and keep the exam intact.

what's the point of such an exam?

I always thought it shameful to cheat before I went to college. I never cheated before. But after I went to college, I began to cheat occasionally when I didn't cheat before, although I had no good reason. But to tell you the truth, over the past year, I found that what the teacher said in some subjects had nothing to do with the exam, but could not understand what the teacher said.

if you can do it, who would want to cheat?

We all hope not to fail. We didn't know how to do or cheat in the past because it didn't matter if we failed in the exam, and if we listened carefully and worked hard in the past, it was rarely possible to say that it would not happen. But it's different now. If you fail, the problem is very serious. In fact, I am not trying to say that there is nothing wrong with cheating. Of course, cheating is not good.

personally, I have always opposed cheating in exams, which is unfair to other students who do not cheat in the first place.

secondly, it is a sign of dishonesty.

when the cost of cheating is low, many people tend to cheat. Maybe it's because you want to get a better score, or you may feel that you didn't review carefully before the exam and asked if you didn't fail. We know that at present, the school is not very strict in catching cheating. when we have cheated once and are not detected, we may follow the model of "not listening carefully in class, not studying carefully at the end of the term, and cheating in exams for the past four years."

those who are for or against.

people who refuse to cheat do not necessarily refuse to provide answers for others, especially out of righteousness and kindness, for a while in the exam, friendship lasts forever. People who cheat do not necessarily cooperate with others, and smart criminals will consider how to hide it rather than increase the number of accomplices. Absolutely righteous people think that their efforts are not as good as those of others, and cheaters invite hands for their own cleverness. both forget that the original purpose of the exam is to test learning, not to test human nature.

from this point of view, we can only agree with those who oppose cheating, but we cannot directly declare our position on cheating itself, with different values, so why ask others to play the game according to their own rules.

actually, I think it's very unfair.

some people who don't review at all or don't review very much take the exam because they have assists. The score is very high, but some people who rely entirely on themselves do not get very high marks, and their efforts are not proportional to their gains, which is very unfair to those who seriously review and prepare for the exam, because some people are in order to get scholarships. It is because cheating makes people who should have got scholarships miss the places, while those who are fooling around get scholarships.

at the end of the term, our basic writing teacher asked us to go back and write a novel, which will be used as a basis for judging the final grade. She asked for more than 3K words, but many people in our class handed in more than 1W words. And I also handed in two recently written plays, which add up to more than 5K words.

Why?

because I want to give myself an explanation, which cannot be reflected by the answer "Please explain the meaning of the following nouns". Some students obviously like modern and contemporary literature, and the teacher said he would go to see one work, but at the end of the term, we still have to open the books and write down the names of writers and the contents of their works that we are not interested in at all.

so what is the purpose of the exam? Test whether we have learned from it? Does it mean that memorizing all the so-called nouns and writing down the beginning, development, and end of a certain period is tantamount to mastering the knowledge we want to master?

isn't it cheating that so many people don't listen carefully in class and just start memorizing the so-called keywords and explanations a few days before the exam?

they just wrote down the "little note" in their heads.
